I remember when I first saw the finale of Sex And The City and Carrie said these lines which shook me out of a very bad relationship I was in. I was the convenient love for a selfish and immature man and I pressed on, battered and bruised.
Today, I re-watched the finale (being on sick leave and all) and the lines resonated to me again. Since that selfish man (I've learnt to stop calling him a jerk), I've met a few other men and they couldn't give me the love I was looking for.
And today, I realised, I don't have to look for anything anymore. Cuz I've found a man who can finally give me the ridiculous love I once pretended to laugh and scorn at.
