Anniversary
Just like that, I've worked at my current job for a year. On many folds, this is a pretty amazing feat for me. I've not had a spell for a year, I've not disappointed anyone for a year, I've found the love of my life through this job and see many reasons for living while at this job. This job provides opportunities and the chance to meet so many people with so much joie de vivre, death and cynicism has no place to fester.
So, this is my anniversary at the job. However long I will stay at it, I know it's impact is indelible; and, wherever I go, whatever I do, the people I've met and lessons I've learnt will stay with me for a long time to come.

Slowing Down

Reading has become much of a luxury I can barely afford these days, but I've finally finished Mrs Dalloway. It's like a lazy Sunday afternoon, slow - rambly and one wonders if it's actually leading to anything. Enjoyable it is, but unsure it feels. And then, at the end of it, the epiphany it fills one with is warm and positive; life, with all its uncertainties, is still worth the journey.
What a wonderful rambly read, what a wonderful lazy Sunday afternoon.
