American Un-Psycho

Shan once told me she met a guy at a party who claimed he went to school with Bret Easton Ellis. And that fell right into our definition of cool. He said Bret is sorta regular. Nothing psychotic, nothing out of the norm and definitive none-too-flashy.

NYT has a fabulous article that attempts to demystify a writer who refuses to be demystified. His books are always forcing the writer to think hard at what is real and not, but never able to fully come to a confident conclusion.

Well, he has a new book out, Lunar Park. And intertwined with the tragedy of two closed ones, it seems to have a more mellowed and sincere tone and less flashy than his other novels. Worth a reaD? I'm definitely gonna check it out.
